The iPhone 17
Apple unveiled its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's three upgrades to familiar models as well as the brand-new iPhone Air, that takes the place of the Plus. If camping out on release day isn’t really your style, but you still need to get your hands on one as soon as possible, you will be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, before the September 19 release date.Aplpe’s iPhone 17 boasts a fresh design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and narrower edges. And after a long wait (and a fair bit of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally features a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, Apple’s new A19 chip is quicker and more optimized, especially when combined with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll see a significant increase in speed and better gaming performance thanks to ProMotion.
About the camera, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and also a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also gets an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography more detailed and more impressive.
